Beautiful, intriguing

Unlike many academic efforts, this book is more than an investigation into an obscure nook and cranny of history - it's a work of art. The design illuminates the content and is beautiful in its execution, never obscuring the subject. "See Through Ledoux"? More like "look at this book!"
