In this suspenseful New York Times bestseller, a chance encounter between a successful lawyer and a rebellious bad boy will change life as they know it forever, as their pasts catch up with them... Colin Hancock is giving his second chance his best shot. With a history of violence and bad decisions behind him and the threat of prison dogging his every step, he's determined to walk a straight line. To Colin, that means applying himself toward his teaching degree and avoiding everything that proved destructive in his earlier life. The last thing he is looking for is a serious relationship. Maria Sanchez, the hardworking daughter of Mexican immigrants, is the picture of conventional success. With a degree from Duke Law School and a job at a prestigious firm in Wilmington, she is a dark-haired beauty with a seemingly flawless professional track record. And yet Maria has a traumatic history of her own, one that compelled her to return to her hometown and left her questioning so much of what she once believed. A chance encounter on a rain-swept road will alter the course of both Colin and Maria's lives, challenging deeply held assumptions about each other and ultimately, themselves. As love unexpectedly takes hold between them, they dare to envision what a future together could possibly look like . . . until menacing reminders of events in Maria's past begin to surface. Rich in emotion and fueled with suspense, See Me reminds us that love is sometimes forged in the crises that threaten to shatter us . . . and those who see us for who we truly are may not always be easy to recognize.
too much detail on Colin's workouts detracted from the story line

I've read a lot of Nicholas Spark's books. This one had a good story line but all of the details about Colin's workouts became tedious to me. I found myself skimming paragraphs, sometimes much of the page over those parts & they interrupted the story for me. People tend to root for the underdog & Colin's backstory pulls you in as does Maria's with her trauma. The book was maybe a little longer than it needed to be.
Couldn't put it down!

I've never read anything by Nicholas Sparks before. I've only recently started dabbling into romance and seen this book and thought 'Why not'. However, I wouldn't consider this a romance. More of a thriller...with alittle love interest. Which is what I normally read so it was right up my alley.
No impact

This was just okay—it didn’t leave a lasting impression in my mind at all. Not bad but just okay
Not my favorite

The entire book is really cliche with the common "bad guy with a dark past" and a nice girl with good etiquette type of love story. Without spoilers the ending is kind of cheesy. I think I would be fine with the time back I got from reading this book. Overall meh.
'See Me', Captivated me!!!

I was trapped in the words of this book, caught up in the drama...engulfed. Reading experience like none other, best Sparks novel so far!!! And I love them all...'See Me' should be a movie. This book feels like a movie unfolding, written almost perfect for a movie.
Enjoyable

Purchased this book for Purely entertainment reading. I normally don’t read love story fiction but this book was rather good and delivered a good story with several unexpected twists. Highly recommend.
