The Best Book on Style and Design - Bar None!!!

What a great resource for style and design ideas. I buy almost every book I can find on design, entertaining, fashion, etc., but there's never been one that has given me this much confidence to tackle those projects I have been putting off. Susie's style diva quiz (which I found on her website - free!) really helped me discover my style personality and helped me realize that my eclectic taste was okay. What encouragement. I especially love the "Diva Drills" at the end of each chapter. Very meaty and substantive!

Secrets of Style Diva Rocks

I have been a fan of Susie's since her debut on HGTV's Surprise Gardener. I love her spirit and charm. It really carries over into her new book. I found it to be fun, inspirational, and touching. The way it was written made it easy to identify with as well as simple to read. I didn't feel as thought I was being talked down to by some high end designer. In fact, the book is really all about finding yourself and expressing that part of you that longs to create. The drills in the book were great. I especially loved the $50.00 challenge. Any book that gives me an excuse to shop can't be wrong!! I would recomend this book to anybody who loves creativity and expression and just needs a little push and some bright ideas on how to get going or even how to get started. Eventhough the book primarily addresses home decorating, you can honestly take it's message and apply it to any aspect of your life. The artwork and illustrations in the book are beautiful and fun. I will deffinately be keeping this book for a long time to come and will recomend it to all my friends.
