This book almost single-handedly helped me to emotionally get through the treatment for Stage Three Breast Cancer. No matter what you are going through, Joni's words will strengthen you. If she, a quadrapelegic who was once a champion diver, can find peace and joy in the midst of her struggles, so can the rest of us.

Joni Eareckson Tada's Secret Strength offers the reader encouragement in the areas of God's strength, God's character, God's grace, and God's praise. Because Joni has spent over thirty years as a quadriplegic, her words ring true as one who knows hardship. I have turned to this book countless times when seeking strength and hope, and I have always found the Lord uses Joni's words to uplift me and grow my faith. I would recommend that the reader keep a copy of this book for himself or herself and give it as a gift to anyone going through tough times and seeking answers to difficult questions. This book is truly one of the best devotional books I have ever read.
