a replacement theory

I was surprised to find that copyies of this book were still available. I read this book in hardcover form back in the early fifties. Being young and impressionable I thought "WOW" could there really be such things. Mr Long soon came out with a companion book called "The Secret Science at Work". I tried a few of his suggestions but being young and having other things on my mind I soon forgot about them. Over the years I have looked into several mystical beliefs and find Mr longs explanations to be as good as any of the others. I do recommend this book but for some modern theories on miracles I recommend the book "The Field" by Lynne McTaggart.

Excellent read

Excellent read; well written, informative, thorough and fascinating. Long has saved an incredible amount of ancient knowledge from being lost to us. You will be amazed at the convincing explanations for many of the world's beliefs and ritual practices, and may become convinced that there really is a form of magic practiced by the keepers of ancient knowledge. great book

I enjoyed this book very much lots of stories of what was done with huna, and other religions.For a beginner I didn't find much how to I learned concepts of huna, but for more real how to how to I liked secret science at work better by Max Freedom Long.

Max Freedom Long did it again!

I read Mr. Long's original book "Recovering the Ancient Magic" and gave it high praise.This book has many of the same case reports that were published in "Recovering the Ancient Magic", but This volume goes more in depth than the earlier work. so buy this book instead.
