Still a good read after 25 years

Choose-your-own-adventure books were a big fad when I was a kid. These "Time Machine" books had two things going for them which made them stand out... since you're a time traveller, being stuck in a story loop is actually plausible. :) The other thing is that the authors did research on their subjects to make each book a fun history lesson (though only if the story doesn't take place in the future, o'course.) I liked this particular book the best of the series, and it was a lot of fun to read it again and see the artwork a couple of decades later. And now with Wikipedia I find that most minor characters in the book were real people... it was great to read their histories after having "met" them as a child. ^_^
