I remember buying this book from a book order in 3rd or 4th grade. It sounded good, so I gave it a try. I LOVED it. I think I read it at least 20 times as a kid and I definitely made room on my bookshelf for it. (Right next to the three books in the Artemis Fowl series.) That's why I'm writing this review today, as a 19 year old college student, to encourage parents to pick up the first 2 books in the series for their kids. It's a great story, well-written, and exciting. I never got the rest of the series, so I can't vouch for the quality of the other books. The plot is fun- it's about finding pirate treasure. Who can honestly say they wouldn't be happy to find/ dream about finding treasure and unraveling an old mystery? Molly is a fun lead character, and the story is perfect from anyone in 3rd to 6th grade. If you like to read to your kids, then this is a good story for reading aloud. It has short chapters and it's quickly paced.
