Regretfully, this is the only book available by Bill Barber. I think the best nutshell description of his ideas are that they are similar to Krishnamurti, but without the eastern influence or subtle hints of mysticism. Barber's ideas are so stripped of the baggage which often accompanies religion that they will probably even appeal to many people of an atheistic bent while still maintaining a strong spiritual validity.
An excellent book

This book is a good, no nonsense examination of the issues that philosophy and religion try to tackle, but always seem to muddle with their insistent dogma and rigid beliefs. The language is clear and direct and if a person is serious, I think this book can be revealing/helpful. Certain parallels can be seen between this work and Krishnamurti's dialogs.
