riveting and current

Read a good book lately? Or seen a good movie on the last days from a pre-millennial position. Certainly there are many artistic efforts focused on the millennium. Many of them end up on our desks at MOVIEGUIDE. However, there is one that we don't want to overlook. Whatever your eschatology, Marlin Maddoux's SEAL OF GAIA is the most suspenseful of all the last days yarns. The international director of the Sky News Network, Steve Weston, gets caught up in the intrigues of the anti-Christ and the new earth federation. The tribulation period is seen through his eyes. Clearly the battle for his soul is intense. As Steve Weston ascends higher into the upper echelons of power, he begins to understand the cost of peace. What makes this book stand out from the rest is the sense of jeopardy and foreshadowing. This is a book that understands the threat of fear and sees the underside of the world very clearly. In spite of being set in the future, it is riveting and current. It is the most exciting end-times scenario filled with innocense, conspiracy, betrayal, and supernatural power. MOVIEGUIDE

A real thriller of a story

BUY THIS BOOK!!! Seal of Gaia is a brilliantly written, highly readable futuristic thriller. From the very beginning, it grabs you and carries you along in a fast-paced, gripping tale of a man who is caught up in the intrigue of a world in the not-so-distant future. Drawing on current political and religious trends, the author makes a compelling case that we are being rapidly pushed toward the establishment of a unified economic order, a global government, and a unifying cooperative world religious system. The key to the world government's power is the development of technology: super computers, satellite communications, doomsday weapons, surveillance capabilities, and total control of the sources of communication and information. One of his most insightful points is that the future world religion will be a neo-pagan system that rejects the Christian God and deifies the Earth (Gaia) as god. Christianity is portrayed as the social order's greatest enemy, the one great roadblock to the bringing about of a single global spirituality and global unity. As a father, I was chilled to the bone by the author's description of a world where children under the age of 3 are considered non-human and are referred to as "biounits" and have no legal protection from infanticide. Steve Weston's gallant effort to save his son from being legally put death is one of the most moving scenes in the book. With all these elements skillfully woven together, you have the basis for a real thriller of a story. Believe me, once you start reading, it'll be hard to put the book down.

A teacher highly recommends book

I bought this book because I found the title intriguing. As a public school teacher, I deal with environmental issues on a daily basis with my class of fourth graders. The name "Gaia," the Earth Mother, is used prominently in public school curriculum. So, I was interested in what the book was all about. When I opened it to read, I was so caught up in the storyline and the author's style of writing that I found it difficult to put down. I finished it in four days. I was totally captivated by the fast-paced story. I thought of Orwell's "1984." The author's insight into the move toward a one world government and a unified religious system was eye-opening. And his depiction of Steve Weston's battle with the Dark Forces is captivating. I highly recommend this book, especially to teachers. But be sure to allot some time, because it will grab you from the very first chapter. In fact, "Seal of Gaia" may prove to be one of the most important books in circulation today.

A compelling scenario

Marlin Maddoux has written a fascinating end times prophetic novel that presents a compelling scenario about the rise of an all powerful world government and global dictatorship in the new millennium. This provocative exploration of unfolding prophetic themes will challenge the reader to consider the spiritual implications of unfolding political events. Grant Jeffrey

Excellent !!

This is an excellent book as relating to the events described in the Book of Revelations. If you liked the Left Behind or Third Millenium Series then you enjoy this book aswell.
