A Thriller -- At 2,000 Feet!

This is an outstanding mystery with all of the features you might expect (a plot with several twists and a host of suspicious characters) in a setting you would definitely NOT expect (a crippled nuclear submarine under attack). A naval criminal investigator is aboard the sea trials of a new sub to determine if a suspicious on-shore accident is murder -- and several subsequent murders are committed in the tight confines of the submarine! The investigator is sharp and experienced but has difficultly dealing with a crew that isn't quite what it seems. Mix in torpedo attacks from an unknown enemy while crippled at 2,000 feet underwater and the action is very intense.Tom Clancy fans should enjoy this book -- a good mystery in a military setting but without the excessive (and distracting) details.
