Reviewed by Eric Zeda (age 9) for Reader Views (8/07) This story is about a dog that washes up on the beach. A kid named Kyle finds the dog and takes it home. He names her Treasure. Later on in the story, a man named Captain Bill tells Kyle Treasure belongs to him and her name is Otter. He tells Kyle the story about how he lost her at sea. Captain Bill gives Otter to Kyle, but Kyle gives her back because Captain Bill is lonely. Captain Bill is happy, but he wants to share the dog with his new friend Kyle. He gets an idea that allows both of them to enjoy Otter. This is a great story. My favorite part is when Kyle saves the dog. I also like the illustrations in the story. They are cool. I would recommend "Sea Dog" to my friends. I am lending my book to my brother to read.
