Sister Holiday, a chain-smoking, heavily tattooed, queer nun, puts her amateur sleuthing skills to the test in this "unique and confident" debut crime novel (Gillian Flynn).
I expected something different given that Sister Holiday was a "punk rocker turned nun" as the inside cover states. It was darker than I think it needed to be with too many tragedies. Nearly every character had some abusive aspect in their lives. I read a lot of murder mystery books, at least one a week, & I really can't give any kind of praise to this one.
