Check out the complaints for yourself...

After reading a negitive review about this book we decided to check out for ourselves his complaints of inaccurate facts. Looking up "Triple Crown Roger Clemens" on my search engine, I found a web site (baseball-almanac) that answers his question about Triple Crowns. "The Triple Crown of pitching is "awarded" to the pitcher who leads - or ties - his league in three major pitching areas: 1: wins 2: strikeouts and 3: earned run average." Roger Clemens has won the American League Triple Crown twice in 1997 and 98. Also my book states that California Redwood trees (page 76) "are believed to be more than 2,000 years old." The photographs and facts are fun and our kids and their friends really enjoy looking at this book together and laughing. (This "fun" learning is the best since they don't even realise they are learning). This book should be enjoyed by kids in junior high and older. This book includes NATURE records... animals, disasters, food, natural formations, plants and weather. HUMAN-MADE records... bridges, constructions, dams, transportation, travel, and tunnels.
