When 1001 tales just aren't enough -

- Scheherazade returns. A couple of decades after her tales not only saved her life but also the lives of hundreds of virgins, she and her hubby travel to the exotic Baghdad of more than a millennium ago. (No spoilers here.) She gets off her elephant, dazzles all, takes a bath and (gasp) she is abducted! Much wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth follow before a most unlikely group of rescuers is sent to find her. Prophesies, Bedouins, cut-throats, magic and a new tale from Scheherazade fill O'Neill's book. The pages seemingly turn themselves as we rush to learn her fate. Can she save herself once again? Can sailors navigate a sea of sand? Can carpets really fly? The answer to all three...will be revealed by page 533. O'Neill has created a fun and funny story, transporting us into the palace and the alleys of that time and place. This was cleverly written with plenty of cliff-hanger moments and a cast of characters that defies belief. So, take your seat, don your turban, put your camel on cruise control and go for a fun ride. ----- Warning to those readers of a more sensitive demeanor: there are sections of this book that can best be described as 'raw'; including explicit sex, gore and strong language - all presented in historically accurate fashion, though.
