EXCITING!

I couldn't put this book down! I loved the characters of Jasha and Ann. Fell head over heels in love with Jasha. What a MAN/WOLF!! I found parts highly erotic to the point where I had to put the book aside to just take a breath. My heart raced throughout the novel. I loved the repartee between Jasha and Ann and enjoyed the squabbling between the siblings. Especially between Jasha and Rarik. Dodd outdid herself with these books. I've read other books of hers and so far this one (along with the second in the series) are her best. I've just started reading the third one and I'm looking forward to reading about Arik.

Loved this one!

I have read all three of the series and am secretly waiting for the last one but I would have to say this was my favorite. The wolf was sooo intriguing that it had my hair standing up. The fact that he could smell her mood swings or sense her LOVE for him was beautiful! Ann was just right in my view point. A little withdrawn but came out of her shell when necessary. The story line was good and yes facts did not explode out at you, if you remember their are three more books so your not going to get all the facts in this one. The love scenes in this were crazy and it actually makes you drool over a wolf. Have to say I find wolves majorly attractive after this one...lol. Read and you shall understand the connection. This one is top for me and hoping the last one is just as great

usual god Dodd read

I really enjoyed this book. A lot of subtleties in the storyline relationships. Despite the mythology, maybe a little too real for some to enjoy. Even the good guys aren't always good in this story. Fast moving so take your time reading

Scent of Darkness- A Joyfully Recommended Title

Ann Smith secretly loves her boss, the virile Jasha Wilder. After much prodding by her friends, including a makeover, a new car, and laser corrected vision, Ann sets out to seduce Jasha in his remote Washington home. Ann's plan to seduce Jasha goes completely off track when she stumbles upon a large and muscular wolf. A wolf that turns into a man before her terrified eyes. And not just any man. The wolf turns into the man she loves, her boss, Jasha Wilder. Although Ann tries to escape, she soon learns there is no escaping destiny. For Ann has been fated to save Jasha's soul. Let's just say I am officially a heaping puddle of bliss and it's all thanks to Christina Dodd's newest novel, Scent of Darkness. After sneaking Scent of Darkness into the house (I've been told I have far too many books), I stayed up all night, unable to stop reading. Full of tension, intrigue, vile adversaries and, oh me oh my, delicious romance, Scent of Darkness brought me to my knees. I adored it. Loved it. And am desperate for MORE! Great start to a new series

I just finished Scent of Darkness and loved every minute of it that I read it in one day. I've read the other reviews here and have to disagree with a lot of them. First of all, Ann heads to Jasha's home not only for business, but with a whole lot of seduction in mind, and while she may not have said the words "yes" to his first round of lovemaking, because of her feelings for him and why she was there, she never said no either. And I never felt once that Jasha thought he was better than Ann. He's just a successful albeit arrogant man, but to me he has every right to be. And he knows Ann has feelings for him, he's never before acted on that knowledge because of the good man he is - he only acted on it when she came looking for it; otherwise he knows her worth as his assistant and always told her so. I loved the entire Wilder family, felt I got to know them as I should at this point in the series. I think a lot of the things that aren't answered in this book will be answered throughout the series, Ann's assessent of herself and her birthmark being one. This is wonderful start for what should be a series to keep the reader captivated.
