Every parent should read

One day I walked into my house and found a note from my nine-year old daughter accusing me of not having done anything with her during Summer. I was shocked because I thought we had done a lot of things together. When I sat down with her, she admitted that we did a lot of things together but she was talking about activities where it was just herself and me. I realised that I was probably missing out on something and I began thinking seriously on how I could become a better mother. By the grace of God, one day I was watching Judge Hattchett Show on TV and a commercial about this book came up. I immediately ordered it and I must say for the first time, I finished a self-help book in less than two days. The book is about how Judge Glenda Hatchett has raised her own sons, as well as how she has adjudicated in different cases involving juveniles. It contains invaluable lessons about raising kids and how we can avoid becoming a mother/father of a juvenile delinquent. The bottom line is that bad things happen to good kids and no matter how much we give to our kids or we do for them in monetary terms, if we dont give them love and attention, they can end up on the front page of a local newspaper. I loved the book and I would definately recommend it for parents, parents to-be and even people who work and take care of other people's kids.
