it's an unfair world

Life is unfair, and as the authors point out over and over, nothing is less fair and more subjective than a job interview. That said, this book can help first-timers avoid many obvious mistakes. It's a humorous, quick read by folks who have "been there, done that."

Short and sweet.

The book is okay. Gets to the point and basically says this... "Doesn't matter who you are or what you know, if you're a good interviewer and they like you you'll get the job. Looks are more important than quality and knowledge." HR reps are the dumb gate keepers that feel they are god's in flesh on this earth but actually know nothing and you can't offend them in any way shape or form... Yeah, a good quick read.
