Book Overview

Tiffany is used to planning Los Angeles' biggest, glitziest weddings, but her own love life is pretty non-existent. A God-fearing, 32-year-old virgin, Tiffany is committed to finding just the right husband to share her life with. She's had her eye on Myles, her church's sexiest, most sought-after bachelor - but Myles's obsession with the superficial proves problematic. In his opinion, ''you can learn to love the Lord, but you can't learn to be fine.''...

(RAW Rating: 3.5) - What's A Girl To Do?

Sisters, Tiffany and Shay are part of a close-knit and loving family. Tiffany is single, saved and is waiting for God to bring her a God-fearing man. In the meantime, she will remain a virtuous woman. Deborah is Tiffany's best friend and she is also saved and single. Shay, the mother of three, is living with her boyfriend of several years. SAVED AND SINGLE by Sheila Copeland showcases the three ladies as they try their hand at internet dating. With a new Christian web site in the midst, [...], Shay and Deborah post their profiles but Tiffany wants nothing to do with internet meeting and dating. Unbeknownst to Tiffany, Shay is managing a profile about her and she manages to land a new friend for herself through the site. Deborah also posts her profile, a meeting ensues and a love connection is formed. Tiffany, ever the humble one, has her hopes up for dating the recently rejected Myles, her church's Minister of Music. Myles, a divorcee with children, is dealing with a multitude of issues, trying to live a Christian life and wants others to follow his lead. SAVED AND SINGLE highlights the temptations and desperations of the characters. It examines the definitions of love, romance, and passion and is filled with as much humor as sadness and pity. The familial connections explored are a pleasure to read. The question of Christians utilizing the internet to find love and romance is constant. Reviewed by Dawn R. Online Dating

Sheila Copeland's Saved and Single is a hilarious look into the lives of Tiffany, Shay, and Deborah. Tiffany and Shay are sisters and Deborah is Tiffany's best friend. Tiffany has done everything the way that a good Christian woman should. She is a virgin and just waiting on God to bring her husband into her life. Luck would have it that a man she has a crush on is actually interested in her as well. Will this be the man of her dreams? Meanwhile, her sister, Shay, is tired of waiting on Tiffany to make moves. She decides to post Tiffany's picture and profile on a dating website, [...], without her knowledge. Deborah also jumps on the bandwagon and signs up for the site. She immediately meets the man of her dreams. Shay is supposed to be answering the site's responses for Tiffany, but gets caught up and falls for a guy who thinks she is Tiffany. Shay has three children and is also living with her babies daddy. Trying to balance her real life with her online life becomes stressful. Will she realize that she has it all at home? Or will she find true happiness with her online love? Copeland's attention to detail is what really makes this a great story. I could not put the book down. The characters are well developed and their interaction with each other is so real. I loved the humor and the references to Christian living. It was not preachy-beat-you-over-the-head, but more subtle. I highly recommend this book for all of Copeland's fans. This book was provided courtesy of the publisher. Great read!

Sheila Copeland has combined four of my favorite things into one page-turning novel: Weddings, Drama, the L.A. lifestyle and Faith. Saved and Single is a well written story with several plot twists and "OMG!" moments. The only con I have for the book is the POV changes with each chapter and that has always been a pet peeve of mine. Other than that I loved the juicy highs and lows.
