Samson and The Great War

Sammy started to think about his mother and family again. He closed his eyes and slowly fell asleep. Once again, he saw his mother telling a story; an ancient story, one of many they'd heard about their ancestors. She was telling the story of Samson, the greatest chihuahua that ever lived. "Sit down children and I'll tell you the story of the Great War, the war between the squirrels and the chihuahuas", the puppies instantly sat. They were perfectly still, except for their constantly wagging tails which they had no control over. "This is the story of when the squirrels gathered in great numbers, threatening the existence of all others" his mother continued. All of the puppy's eyes were on her, awaiting every word. The puppies had lied down all in a row. Actually, it was more of a pile, a puppy pile. Every mother had passed this on to her pups, it was a very old story.
