Excellent book to ovierview Outlook Programming capabilities

This is definitely an excellent book allowing you to overview all powerful Outlook 2000 programming features. It is written in a clear and simple style, with plenty of valuable code examples to help you start writing useful application for your company organization. This book reflects Sue Mosher's eagerness for sharing her experiences, which we have already recognized in the Outlook programming news group. In short, this is a wonderful book which I would recommand to any one who would like to start programming with Outlook 2000.

Sue Mosher's "Teach Yourself Outlook 2000 Programming in 24 Hours" is interesting and very informative. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to get started programming Outlook. The only area I am disappointed in is that , similar to Thomas Rizzo , she doesn't put an emphasis on the internet e-mail protocols. I know that is not the scope of the book. But that is definitely the direction both Outlook and Exchange are going. Just look at any discussions on Exchange 2000! You really need to complement this book with something like "Essential Mail Protocols" by Jennifer Adams or "Programmer's Guide to Internet Mail" by John Rhoton to cover all bases.

Beginner to Expert in 24 Simple Lessons

As a beginner to VBA and Programming itself I needed a book that started at a basic level, yet ended with the power I needed to write my tools. Sue's book fit this perfectly. The book is very easy to follow and understand, each lesson building on what you learned in the last.I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to harness the full power of Outlook. I had know idea you could do so much with a couple of lines of code. This book has already saved me hundreds of hours of work that I used to do by hand that is now completed in a matter of seconds by VBA code.

A must book for Outlook Programmers

Sue Mosher has done an excellent job in dealing with both the basics of Outlook form design and tackling the more sophisticated aspects of Outlook programming using VBScript, VBA and ActiveX Controls. For those, like myself, who didn't know much about VBScript(almost an essential tool for Outlook programming), this book is perfect as it takes you through the basics and uses practical examples for clarification. If there is one book you want to buy on Microsoft Outlook programming, look no further.Shiraz Shariff

A badly needed resource for Outlook programming.

Simply stated, this is a very well written book by an acknowledged authority on Outlook programming. I learned to program Outlook 98 from the Microsoft Press book entitled "Building Applications with Outlook 98." While that book, and the newer "Programming Outlook and Exchange" are essential to anyone who programs Outlook regularly, Sue Mosher's book is aimed at getting a new Outlook programmer up to speed quickly. This book teaches techniques and answers questions that are valuable even for someone who has already grasped the essentials of Outlook forms. Her section on the new VBA capabilities of Outlook 2000 is a terrific tutorial and should get most programmers up to speed quickly. This book belongs in your library if you work with Exchange server and intend to do any custom forms or automation. It's worth every penny. My only quibble is that a CD-ROM of code examples--kind of like the MSDN library, but for Outlook--would have been nice. However, Sue Mosher's internet site, more than compensates for this ommission.
