Must read for ASP developers...

...looking to move on to ASP.NET this book is an easy read, and if you are already familiar with ASP this book will show you what you need to know in the first 5 chapters. This book assumes you will be using VB.NET as your language of choice.

Great For Beginners!

This is probably the best beginners book out there. This book intruduces the new technology as if the reader knew nothing but simple HTML. Don't get me wrong, the book covers all the new and advance features of ASP .NET, but the writer address the reader as if the reader new little about web development. If you've been VERY active in the ASP.NET development for the past few months, I suggest you read Wrox's Professional ASP.NET. If you have been one with very little time to involve yourself with the .NET code, i suggest you get this book now.

Only book you'll need for ASP.NET, VB.NET, C# and XML!!!

I was waiting for this book since long and believe me, it wasworth waiting! This book didn't disappoint me at all. I have finished majoiry part of this book and find each chapter extremely easy to grasp. Apart from ASP.Net, this book also covers VB.net, C# and XML from groundup. So if you have some programming knowledge but lack prior experience with Visual Basic, ASP or XML, it does not matter. You can jumpstart with this one and learn all these new skills. Majority of '21 days' series books haven't disappointed me in the past but I guess this one is THE BEST! Though all chapters in this book are thorough and precise, Some of the outstanding chapters are: Day 10(ADO.NET), Day 11 and Day 12(begining XML and XML with Databases), Day 20 (Debugging) and Day 21 (Security). Overall, a SUPERB BOOK!

Chris, this book is great!

After literally stalking the bookstores nearest me for the last couple of weeks, I finally found a copy on the other side of town, and took the drive to get it. This is already in demand! I'm a big fan of any TY in 21 days titles, and this book is no exception. It helped to have programming experience on my side, but learning all the new things there is to learn about ASP.NET is still easy as I finish this book. Rarely do I finish a book cover to cover (it usually ends up on the shelf as a reference) but with the way everything is explained and the examples and programming projects given, I feel really good at the knowledge this book has given me to get an early start on the technology.Thanx a bunch Chris!
