Save Thoroughbred!!

Pride and Sammy are my absolute favorite characters in the entire series. This book makes Pride seem more approachable. He's not completely perfect, as evidenced by his loss of the Triple Crown. It's books like this one that make the Thoroughbred series worth saving.

Very Touching

"...I couldn't leave him there..." That's how I felt as soon as I picked up book No. 7 of the Thoroughbred series, Samantha's Pride. This story perfectly tells about a Champion colt, Wonder's Pride, of Ashleigh's Wonder, (Kentucky Derby Winner) in his 3-year-old season. My heart really jumped into my throat when Ashleigh decided to take things into her own hands.I really enjoyed this book. I really hate Brad though. I hated him from the time he "Muscled" Ashleigh's Wonder around, and bruised her ankle. All horse lovers: this is a "Must read!"

A realistic story

Quite frankly, this book blew me away. Lets give the author credit, shall we? It was obvious Campell knew her facts, and knew them well. She portrayed each character to their potential, whether it be the obnoxious Townsends, or the courageous Griffins. I felt Wonder's Pride come alive in the text, and felt Samantha's misery and fear when he was injured in the Belemont. I think this is a very realistic scenario, and Campell protrayed it wonderfully. Five Stars!

Way to go Pride!!

This one was so awesome. I really got into this one. The plot was excellent. The subject is so true. I know of a number of people who use their horses as machines instead of friends.

PRIDE ROCKS!!!!

This is one of my favorite books in the series. Reading about Pride winning the Derby and the Preakness is co cool! If you like horses and racing, this book, and series, is a must!
