A primer for those new to selling. You'll explore the psychology of selling, questioning techniques, closing a sale, telephone selling, and more. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Sales Training Basics is a good introduction for anyone contemplating a career in sales. Since I have been in sales for about 10 years, I did find the information to be somewhat basic (hence the title!!!) yet it certainly does not hurt to be reminded of refining the basics of selling lest one becomes complacent and ineffective. I did like the approach the author uses to stressing that successful sales results from a positive attitude and acting as a consultant instead of a hyper-aggressive sales person. Another useful part of the book concerned the baseball analogy of 1st, 2nd, 3rd base, and home to correspond to the sales process. Again, a good introduction to sales. If you are looking for more comprehensive titles, I would recommend Zig Ziglar and other authors. Recommended. Read and enjoy!
