St. Rita's BEEN THERE AND SUFFERED THAT - U R not alone!

"Put away all anxiety from your minds, present your needs to God in every form of prayer and in petitions filled with gratitude. Then God's own peace, which surpases all understanding, will stand guard over your hearts and minds, in Christ Jesus (Phillipians 4:6-7)". When I randomly opened the book and read those words I knew I had found my Saint. Actually St. Rita came into my life over 30 years ago when an Aunt gave me a 1st Class Relic of the Saint when we were trying to adopt a baby and yes, we got the baby who is now 35 years old.But I never knew anything about St. Rita, except that she was the Saint of the Impossible. This woman suffered every indignity her husband could pile upon her. She was forced into a loveless marriage by aged, but well-meaning parents when her heart longed for the convent. She was physically and verbally abused by a husband who was also a womanizer/adulterer. She was the sole caretaker for her sick and aged parents. After years of a miserable marriage Rita's influence finally brought her husband to the Church and happiness in the last 15 years of their married life BEFORE HIS ASSASSINATION and then she had to deal with sons who swore to avenge the murder of their father. You'll just have to buy the book to learn how Rita entered the Convent, received the Stigmata and brought a dead rose bush to life that still blooms 600 years later. It's a fantastic read and INSPIRATION!
