This is an excellent book , an autobiography of Mike's time at sea in the Navy. When Mike joined the Navy he was not a christian, but 3 years later he became a Christian. Mike was a sonar man on a submarine. First he talked to a military chaplain about being a christian and asking for his Sabbaths off.On land it was fine; but not on the sea. There were many Christians of different denominations who felt his religious freedom was violated because his sabbath request was denied. Finally because Mike got more work done in 6 days than the other sailors did in 7 days. His request was granted and upon reaching land he got an honorable discharge. Ironically, our country stands for religious freedom, but the Navy does not.
