#1 OF THE "LAST CHANCE HEROES" - EXCELLENT PLOT

Well we are back with the ding-bat females that always go for the wrong guy and lose their morals with PMS [pre-marital sex]. Don't none of these libertine hero's rate a moral female? If they are going to do it, she at least should get pg. But that is neither here nor there. This story is great - the plot moves - Agent Quinn Calhoun is carrying a lot of emotional baggage - Olivia Larkin starts out being a twit. Yup, she broke of an engagement after shacking up with him and now thinks her judgement of men is skrewed up. You think? Olivia is in Camaria, having escorted two young girls to their father, General Lazaro Menendez and now he has designs on her. She was happy to get out of the States as she had come face to face with "Scarface" who had killed the girls mother. Quinn had had to rescue her 4 years ago from a drug dealer whom she thought was just a nice guy. Hey, she was 22 years old and can take care of herself thank you very much. Yea! right! Now she is in danger from Menendez's hired thugs [soldiers] Their extraction helio got blown up - Quinn got knifed and shot - she was just lucky that he killed the general's men before he passed out. Oh, I forgot, she saw him slit a man's throat. Hey, she didn't faint. Up in the mountain retreat where Quinn was taken to heal - she finally crawled into bed with him only he was high on an herbal drug meant to kill his fever and heal his wound. Famous last words "I love you Claudia". Opps! didn't set well with Olivia - still it kept the interest high as now she is highly offended. They now have a revolution in the making and she is determined to save the girls, Elsa and Ria - Quinn finally agrees to help her spirit the girls away from their father - yet he doesn't want to face Menendez again. Seven years ago was enough for him. You will enjoy learning about Quinn's sojurn in Menendez's employ - about the sound-proof room he uses for interrogation and the outcome of the revolution. And about Olivia's Uncle Max Larkin [who is willing to kill Quinn] and they had been friends. Towards the end we get another insight into Quinn's life as an agent for Major Flynn Benning and his staff of agents - Lucky Santana - Dante Mangino and they only female agent, Sadie Harlow. Oh, and they do catch up with "Scarface" although the author neglects to inform us as to who has the pleasure of killing him. I think. There are a couple of other characters that you will enjoy meeting - all in all it is a great plot - hard to put down - When will we rate some gutsy women who can say no with humor and determination - and some heroes who learn to suffer with it? Still HIGHLY RECOMMENDED --m - Now onto Sadie's story which is very promising [except there she goes again].
