BAR-OS-MAN: Stepping into cosmic energy streams

Rune Might is a small booked packed with vital information on the Runes and its use for self empowerment. Mr Thorson demonstrates an in depth background in the writings of the Germanic Rune masters and provide multiple references for further research. The historical background provided seems fair and without bias and help t place the Germanic rune masters in context of the runic revival. The book contains information on the runes not available in other books covering the runes. Sometimes however the book only gives a taste and not the full picture. The reader is left with a thirst for more. The book covers for example the four runic systems but does not provide a complete cosmological model of the four systems. The book covers the Listian mystery language but without enough to fully employ it. The strength of Rune might is lying in the clarity with which the Rune yoga postures are described. A clear map is given to practice runic yoga. Surprisingly simple, runic yoga had an enormous effect on my sense of wholeness and well being.

Recommended book

First, it must be understood that the purpose of this book is to give historical background on Runes and those who have used them. That in mind, this book is invaluable as it provides information not available anywhere else. Again, this book is not meant as a primer, so if that is what you are looking for, I would recommend picking up Runelore, of FUTHARK.

I paid $60 for it - It was worth EVERY penny!

Why, why, why, why doesn't Llewellyn reissue this book!?! I borrowed and read a friend's dog-eared, tattered, well-loved copy and just HAD to have one of my own. It is THE ultimate source book on rune yoga/armanic runes and an excellent overview of the German occult scene in general. As an Armanic practitioner, I must say that anyone who turns their nose up at the armanic runes or rune yoga for whatever reason is missing out on so much. They may well not be as ancient as the Elder Futhark, but as Thorrson himself pointed out in "Futhark", it is just as valid a magickal system as rune magick based on the Elder Futhark. It does what it was designed to do and it does it very well. I use it. It works. 'Nuff said.

Runic Yoga

This is a book for those who want to work with the runes and not just use them as a divination tool. This is serious work for the serious practioner. This is a good book for those who are not just only into the runes but also into yoga as well. I have this book and i will NEVER give it away.
