Not bad for a Rudy

This is a nice little book with some good pointers to motivate most everyone. Rudy gives a good account of his story and the struggles he went through to get into Notre Dame, and then to get the movie made about that experience. He also mentions his life after Notre Dame and the movie and how that led to him becoming a motivational speaker who tours the country. If you have an interest in the movie, or you are seeking a simple motivational book, this is for you. It is not extemely well written (it's by Rudy, you know) but it is a quick read and make some good points (and some great points) on dealing with life's frustrations and how to overcome them.

Never let your dream die...

What can a person say... Rudy has shown me what it means to never quit, to never give up. After reading the book (and watching the movie) you realize that no matter what others say, no matter what the obstacles, no matter what the odds, the only thing that keeps you away from your dream is what's in your heart.

A great resource for motivation and overcoming adversity!!

Wow! I received this book on loan from a librarian friend of mine who knew that I wasn't happy with where I was in my life. I read the book and could not put the book down! I was so consumed at the familiarity of Rudy's life compared to mine that I wanted to know what else he dealt with and the results he accomplished. I remembered watching the movie a few years back. However, the book was so much better for me - more detailed and more motivational - I now what a copy for myself! Rudy's book was a helpful resource for me to get re-motivated with what was important in my life! I loved watching the movie after reading Rudy's book. I get Rudy's ambitions. I have my own and I have done greater in my life since reading Rudy's book. I also appreciate how Rudy talked about God in his quest for his dreams. Way to go Rudy!!
