Good, comprehensive guide to materials and techniques
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 25 years ago
When I opened this book, I was sorely disappointed that there were few "step by step" instructions. But when I began reading it, I found that it answered almost all of my questions! This book is a comprehensive guide to rubber stamping. Both novice and intermediate stampers can benefit from the creative techniques described in this book. Michele goes through basic stamping materials and techniques as well a more advanced methods including the combination of rubber stamping with computer-generated artwork! The only "minus" I would give the book is the lack of comprehensive illustrations. The adage "a picture is worth a thousand words" rings true here. While there is a color photo section of examples (and descriptions of each of the techniques applied to make those examples), I feel that the book would benefit from illustrations for each technique on the page describing the technique.
A must have book for all new stampers

As a "novice" stamper, this book runs the gamut of basic techniques, to the advanced. It also give a lot of explanation of terms used in the craft, and helps to fill in the blanks. Of all the books and magazines I have relating to rubber stamp, this is the one I turn to most often.

This is the first rubberstamping book I ever bought and it was definitely worth buying- it's a keeper! Full of ideas and complete explanations, it is very helpful. I would definitely recommend this book for stampers new to the art form, and even to those who've stamped for a while may get some great ideas.
