Throughout the story, Rosie is encouraged to work with her body and build subtle movement into everyday situations, something often difficult for many neurodivergent children and young people.
SEND Friends is series of lighthearted, rhyming stories with endearing characters that explain differences to children in a way they can relate to, but also help adults and peers understand how to help and support in moments of difficulty.
Covering a variety of differences and divergence- including situational mutism, tics, sensory processing difficulties, autism, adhd, ARFID- offering an opportunity to introduce the topic of additional needs and disabilities in education settings in an indirect way to teach about differences and accommodations.
