Rose Annabelle Walker

This is the first book of a 4-book series. There are 4 sisters, and there is a book for each sister for the year they turned 16. Each book is written in first-person by that particular sister. The sisters, in order from oldest to youngest, are: Rose, Daisy, Laurel, and Lily. This book is about the oldest sister, Rose Annabelle Walker. Rose's talent and interest is singing. She has dreams of becoming a singer. Rose's father recently died, so the family is going through rough financial times. Rose has to suddenly grow up and help take care of her 3 younger sisters. Rose has a rich, arrogant boyfriend. She doesn't exactly feel comfortable around his richness, considering her poorness. But she is very beautiful, and that is what he sees: the outside. Will they continue to date, or will she find someone who appreciates her on the inside, too? The 4 sisters have a wonderful relationship with each other. Their mother Maggie is the best and most wonderful mother in the world. She deeply and truly loves her daughters unconditionally. The whole family loves and appreciates each other. This book is not just about a girl turning 16. It is about family. The important bonds of family love, linking the past, present, and future. If you don't get anything else out of this book, the book will have been worth reading just for that. You don't have to necessarily read each book, but I would definitely recommend that you do. You will enjoy the books a lot more if you read them all, and read them in order. More of the events and characters will be familiar and will be more meaningful if you've read the previous books.

In love with it but waiting...

I LOVED this book. I am not much of a reader at all but after my bio teacher told us we should read for pleasure, I picked this book up, aka the only non RL Stine book in my end table. I was absolutely sick of those books, i read them all when i was ten so i turned to Diane Schwemms book that i had bought a few years ago thinking the topic completely fit since i too will be turning 16 this year. I read it very quickly, devoured it in fact and i fell in love with the walker family. I couldn't wait to read Daisy. I immediately forced my mom to take me to my local book shop but, surprisingly to me, they didn't have it. I raced home and began to search and to my dismay Daisy is no longer in print. I truely hope to find it and i hope any of you reading this after reading them all will put your book up for sale. Please spread the joy of the walker sisters on as much as possible, if not for me then for someone like me.

This book is soo good

I read this book and I loved it so much. As soon as I finished it, I had to go out and buy the rest of the series. It's a terrific series. It's really nice how the author can make the characters express so many emotions, and it pulls you right into the plot. I recommend it very much.

The book was deliglightful just like the others.

This is one of my favorite books because of all the diferent subjects included. I always seem to enjoy comedic romance novels like this one.The way this series was written made me feel as though I were actually part of the story. The plot of girl whose family is not as fortunate as some who is dating a very rich country boy. I never expected some of the the things that happened to do so but that always made me want to read more which I suppose is what the author wanted. After reading this book i also read the rest of the series and passed them on to my friends and they loved the books too. My alltime favorite book of the series though is Daisy because she seems so much like me. So to everyone that reads this review and the books I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. It was definitley worth my time to read them.

It's the greatest

It was a great book. I really related with what the author was telling me as my father died before m 16th birthday and we went through the same thing. I think it is a really good book and I recomend it to everyone.
