I would like to give thanks to the children who are different. The ones who may not run as fast as others, who may not dress as well as others, whose appearance is deemed unacceptable and who may not be as popular and socially gifted as others. Rooks represents the individuals who do not fit in and were told they do not matter because of their abnormality which is to say, "you are not normal." What is normal and why is normal the standard in humanity to make those who do not fit into this normal bubble an outcast or outlier? What they are saying in other words is you not being their "normal" makes you less than those who we consider normal.
