America's favorite fix-it personality has gathered together the 60 do-it-yourself projects that homeowners most often request. This description may be from another edition of this product.
There are some things I would NEVER be able to do myself but now I at least understand HOW they are done and can discuss them with a contractor! I'd like to see an updated version of this book, though. Ron is a real DIY guy - love his show too.
Finally! Do-able home projects for real people.

Now we take on that kitchen re-do we've been putting off since we moved in. For those of us who don't live in dream houses with unlimited budgets, most of the do-it-yourself books are just "wish books." This one, though, is as direct and basic as Hazelton's TV show. We especially like the boxes at the start of each chapter that tell you how hard a project is, how much time it will take and what it will cost. The tips on tools, materials and especially preparation are great. Maybe now we can start a project without stopping and running to the home supply store every 20 minutes (and without re-mortgaging the house to pay a contractor to do the work). Thank you, Ron Hazelton. p.s. If you want a real house to work on for your next book, have we got a place for you!
