Rolf and Edgar are two trolls that are best friends that go everywhere together. Edgar only looks up and Rolf only looks down. While each sees a great deal of interesting things, neither sees what the other does. Finally, Rolf runs into something that knocks him out and when he wakes up, he is looking at the sky. Since Edgar misses Rolf, he goes back to look for him and is forced to look down in order to find him. Both of them discover many new things and realize what they have been missing. From that point on, Edgar also looks down and Rolf also looks up. This is a good tale about breaking out of your set ways in order to learn new things. It is a lesson that all of us must learn and relearn throughout life. Since it is best to learn it for the first time at the earliest possible age, I recommend this book for the target age of grades 2-4.
