When you can't ignore the signs

Easy to read. Great book for when you want to read something meaningful and inspirational in bits and pieces (although the first time I read it I read the whole thing at once). The best way to describe this book is through this imagerie:Have you ever driven down a very familiar road, the road home from work for instance, and realised that you have no recollection of the various streets you drove on, the turns you made, the signs you obeyed??? That the only way you know you past the familiar bridge is because this is the only way you could have gotten from your point of origin to where you are now?Sometimes we live the way we drive. We don't pay attention, we are in a daze. When I read this book, full of analogies to the road, I realised just how important it is to pay attention to the signs life sends us. The more I became aware, the more I could direct my life. A great book to keep on the night stand and to give to someone you care about who might be looking for direction...This is my first review. I wanted to share this with as many people as possible.

Truely the signs to authenticity!

I love this book and highly recommend it. I use it as an integral part of my daily ritual prior to journaling. The use of Road Signs is so simple yet so powerful. I love how there are short chapters that focus on a specific topic - a thought for the week with thought provoking questions to ponder. It's helping me to take the time to stop and observe and be present in the moment - to notice the signs around me and within me. The book is small and an easy travel companion. It shares the small blessings that lead to an authentic and abundant life.

This little book is invaluable wherever you are on your life's journey, it is never out of date, and it is easy to read. With the help of road signs that are so familiar to us that we often don't give them much thought, Betty Healey shows us how we can look at these same signs in a new way and see them as guide-posts along our way. Her book is filled with anecdotes, and tips that can help us to be conscious of where we are going with our life and how we are getting there. By suggesting questions and activities for our travels, this book helps us to find different perspectives with which to appreciate our lives and with which to find the courage to make choices that enrich us. This is indeed a wonderful little book that packs easily into a purse, brief case, suitcase, knapsack, or bag of any size. I would not think of traveling to another country without my passport and I would not think of traveling to any points in my life without "roadSIGNS".
