The safety of life and property should be paramount in the heart of every individual, regardless of location and environment we find ourselves. The advent of the use of motorcycle as a means of transportation in Nigeria was a welcome development, most especially when one considered its advantages on job creation, poverty alleviation, ease of mobility and reduction of crime rate among others. Despite its advantages, its demerit seems to have swallowed up many of the positive pictures anybody can think of. The demerit include high rate of occurrence of accident, over-speeding, untimely death of riders as well the users. Despite the commitment of huge amount of money by the government to agencies saddled with responsibility of maintaining sanity on Nigerian road, much is still left to be desired especially when one considered the rate at which accident is still occurring among the study population.
