BACK COVER: Abigial Brannon had never expected frontier life to be easy. But when Indian marauders had murdered her young husband only a few years after their small family had settled in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, Abigial had to learn how to survive on the strength of faith alone. Now living with her parents in the growing frontier town of Winchester, Abigail felt safe from the Indians. But she had no idea how to survive an encounter with Patrick Taylor. Patrick Taylor would gladly rescue a woman in distress, but he had no need for women, or for anyone. He certainly did not need God. But somehow this Abigail Brannon was different from other women. There was a strength about her that even he Captain Patrick Taylor, could not match. MY REVIEW: This was an amazing, well written, and thriling story about one women who never gave up hope in her Lord, and the man who couldn't understand her. I enjoyed reading this story very much. It was filled with real historical facts and events that made the story of Patrick and Abigail conplete.
