The Right Side Of The Law by Wendy Rosnau released on Sep 24, 2001 is available now for purchase. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Blu DuFray had a past. He once was the hired muscle of a loan shark. This obviously earned him a bad reputation. Until he rescued those kids last year from a slave seller. Now he has a bigger problem. He needs to find the beautiful 'nun' with the damnedest brown eyes who pulled a gun on him and whacked him over the head with his own boot! That pretty lady was Kristen Harris, desperate for someone who knows her, because she can't remember anything before the last three years. She woke up in a stranger's bed, naked, who told her he was her husband, told her her name, and that he thinks she's in trouble with the law. For those three long years she suffered sexual abuse and emotional hurt, but one night she gets a chance, and makes a run for it, armed only with a small pistol, her daughter, and a picture of a gorgeous stranger with fathomless dark eyes. On the back - Blu Devil, New Orleans, so she heads to New Orleans to find the Blu Devil, and ask him why his thirty-four by thirty-two picture is on her 'husband's' wall! When Blu finds the woman, he's shocked to see that she's really a girl, no older than twenty! He listens to her story, though, and decides to help her. That night, they make love, and in the morning, Blu gets another surprise - his 'Angel' has a two-year-old daughter that everyone thinks is his! They find a way to help each other, and on along the way, they fall in love. But will the man claiming to be her 'husband' find her? What will he do to her? Worse, what will he do to Blu, the man of her dreams?A great sequel to A YOUNGER WOMAN, in which Blu's sister Margo and her cop ex-lover star. I hope we'll have Jackson's story next. Keep up the good work Ms. Rosnau!

Three years ago she awoke naked in a brass bed to man claiming to be her husband. He says her name is Kristen Harris and she was eluding police when they met. Supposedly, a boating accident resulted in her amnesia. Her husband Salvador Maland radiates danger and unpredictability, and she is terrified of him. So late one night Kristen takes her small daughter and flees the so called island paradise. With a picture of a man called Blu Dufray, Kristen begins her quest for her true identity. At twenty-five, the man nicknamed Blu Devil is the youngest fishing fleet owner in Algiers. When a nun pulls a gun on him, demands information from him, commands him to strip, then leaves him lying on a brick courtyard, Blu vows to find her. He doesn't know that she had hoped he would recognize her. The woman he nicknames Angel turns up much quicker than he anticipates, however, when Blu finds her hiding in a building he owns. Intrigued by Angel's story, he promises to help her find answers. He especially wants to know why a man like Salvador Maland, someone he doesn't know, has pictures of him.Through the French Quarter and into the Louisiana bayou country Blu and Kristen pursue deadly answers. Blu finds himself mesmerized by this desperate woman seeking her identity. Blu quickly realizes that Salvador had used drugs to control Kristen's memory, and that she is also much younger than she had been led to believe. With her child carefully hidden, now she must believe in her instincts and put her trust in a devil if she wishes to stay alive. Author Wendy Rosnau pens a remarkable suspense with THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE LAW. Drug induced amnesia results in a fresh plot that culminates in a desperate, surprising conclusion. Dangerous information and a network of deadly crimes keep the tension tight as secrets are unveiled. Kristen proves herself to be remarkably resourceful and resolutely strong as she comes to understand the past and the evil that has manipulated her. The Blu Devil brings his own dangerous charm and unforgiving past to the tale, underscoring the deadly game they play. Kristen and Blu prove the beauty of love when it's on THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE LAW. Very highly recommended.

Kristen Harris escapes a horrible situation & is desperate to recover her memory. With very little to go on she makes her way to New Orleans, looking for the man in a picture she possesses, hoping he will be able to help her.Blu DuFray has worked hard to keep his fleet of shrimp boats afloat since his father's death. He is well known for his unsavory exploits as well as having been hired muscle. A year ago Blu's slighty shady past takes a turn for the better after he helps bust an illegal child slavery ring in Algiers which brands him a media hero. When Blu meets Kristen he can not resist helping her & protecting her. And even though Blu tries hard to appear tough, Kristen uncovers his inate goodness. This book has been long awaited for me & it was well worth the wait. This is the sequel of A YOUNGER WOMAN Apr '01, the story of Blu's sister Margo in which he was first introduced. From that time I had high expectations for Blu's story & I was not disappointed. This book kept me turning the pages eagerly from start to finish. It is a captivating keeper!!
