Cassie and Hillary vie with each other for the privilege of riding Birchwood Stable's new Lipizzan horse in an important horse show. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I love this book, although I have a 13+ reading level. It is fun to read, and nobody will get sick of it. When Cassie falls in love with Birchwood's new horse, she is horrified to learn that snobby, highly self opinionated Hillary also likes the horse. Hillary demands to ride him, but she isn't right for Majesty. Who will ride this great horse? I find this series, espcially this book, inspiring. It is great for those with dreams to lease of own a horse, and who love to ride. It is modern, so I could relate to it. It is impossable to explain the great read it is, so just buy it or check it out yourself!
Caught in the middle

When Cassie hears of Magesty, a Lipizzan new to her stables, she marvels at the beauty. But when Hillary also notices him, her jealousy grows and she immedietly demands the horse to be hers - and hers only - to ride. Who will be able to win Majesty? A good Treasured Horses addition...but somewhat predictable. Still a good read for children 10 and under. Since I own a horse myself, I found this book a fun read in school. Also, this has a bunch of cool facts for the young horse owner. Personally, I like the Treasured Horses: Pride of the Green Mountains somewhat more than I did this book. But, don't let my opinion stop you. See what you think after reading Riding School Rivals for yourself. : )

Cassie is an excellent rider and jumper. When she hears that a beautiful Lipizzan named Majesty arrives, she's sure that he would be perfect for her. But when another rich and self-centered girl, Hillary, also sees the horse, only one girl will get him. Who will win the right to lease this fallen angel?

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this book! I've read it a million times and I'm still not sick of it! It's the first book that I've read from the series and it's inspired me to read the others. This book is realistic to me because every young girls can really relate to wanting that one special horse. Also, this book has a part inwhich Cassie is in her riding lesson, so readers can learn more about good posture and tecniques when they ride.

Ok. Maybe The plot is A LITTLE predictable. A LITTLE! But, I thought this was one of the best in series! (They're all good.) I wish there were more books about Lipizzan horses. I think it's good that the girls become friends! This book shows how you should keep trying to be friends to someone who doesn't like you. Oh, and the book does have horses in it. Most of the time everything happens at the stable. A nice, horsey book!
