Even better than Lonely Planet :)

This guidebook is really useful, both for making an informed college decision and for enjoying it once you get to school! Not only do you get insider's information about ALL aspects of Rice University life (the students' perspective, rather than what the admission's office wants to feed to you!), but it is also a handy little guide to the Houston area- complete with restaurants, bars, clubs, and other fun Houston attractions, complete with addresses, operation hours, etc. It's like a Lonely Planet guide to college! This info takes new students YEARS to find out- and you have it all at your fingertips! It's a really good investment!
