T. H. Henning is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He earned a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree from The Pennsylvania State University. He has completed a Certificate of Attendance at Cambridge University, England and two years of a doctorate program at American University in Washington DC. Additionally he has attended seminars at The Aspen Institute and The Wharton School.
During the Cold War as an IBM executive he travelled to Moscow and delivered a technical speech in Russian language to a Soviet audience. He authored seven books; "Memoirs of a Defense Contractor", "The Scotland Spy", "Web Based Corporate Institutes", and "Legend of the Chinese Spy", "Anaria; A Collection of Poems", "Ballad for Those Lost at Sea", and "A Swan Song for Chaotic Times". One of his poems was published in "Upon Arrival; Hour Glass" and another in "Best Poets of 2020". He and his wife Cheryl raised four children, all college graduates. Tom and Cheryl live in Haymarket, Virginia where he volunteers his time with The American Legion to support the Wounded Warrior Retreat at Bull Run.
