This is an excellent text for students. It is written in an easily accessible form and is considerably more detailed than many newer review books. The topics covered are more in-depth than any secondary student text. These factors allow my students to use this book as a jump-start for their own research and help them develop the foundation they need to understand how and why our country has come to be as it is.

This is the most wonderful book for United States History. Whether you take the course, or just want to know about our country, it is a great, easy to comprehend text. Although it is out of print, I have had this book for about 10 years now. I actually found this book in a school garbage pail! LUCKY ME! It was definately a find of a life time!
