Reverse Thrust is a fast-paced time-travel spy drama. After semi-retired agent Mike Breeze is reversed into the 1950s by a secret government department to perform a particularly delicate task, his superiors understand that he performed exceptionally well. So well, that he is recruited shortly afterwards for another assignment, this time in the 1960s, to find and return two other agents from this department who appear to have gone missing. This new undertaking proves to be much more complicated and involved. One agent in particular proves to be a man on a mission with no intention of returning to the present day. The pursuit involves travel throughout London and in to the home counties before a dramatic clash on London Bridge brings about a cataclysmic finale.
