I LOVED Playing this game book with a friend... It passed the time and was fun to do!!! Anyone into or just starting RPG'S, Should own these books, Well Designed and Written and FUN! I highly recommend these books! I bought mine elsewhere a long time ago BUT I am missing some of the others and want them. Grab your D20 and get rolling. You will need both books, which are a set in a box normally, to play. There should be a Number system on the back of each book to help play. The box has the Number System for sure. I played the Dragon while my buddy played the Sorcerer, i think that is what this set has, and then he wanted to trade books so he could be the Dragon BUT I knew the Dragon Secrets and he knew the Sorcerer Secrets, So we played again as the original characters, then swapped for the third game. It seems like it took an hour (maybe longer) to play this. I do own Castle Arcania and played it a LONG TIME AGO with my cousin and died really fast. I wanted to play it again but we didn't. I think he didn't like it. This set is like an Endless Quest Book in which you are Offered choices But the battles Use DICE. Grab a D20 at a hobby shop OR a comic shop OR a gaming store OR maybe a bookstore. You can buy them online. I told my buddy that I thought maybe other players could join in if they wanted to divide the character roles up. (YEAH... You get to lay more than one character... I guess they are Helper's really.) It may even be a good inspiration for a game if the DM is talented enough and can get the players to play pre-made character's. Buy this and see what I mean.
By the way... I won against my buddy twice as the Dragon, and I don't remember if he won as the Dragon.
