Timotheus Tighe was one of the Old West's greatest lawmen and bounty hunters. He never failed to bring in his man - except once. In 1887, the Canta Lupe Bank and Trust in Arizona was robbed by four men: Matt Bishop, Harold Shelby, Emmett Crandon, and Guffy LeRoy. In 1912 Tighe died and the robbers were still free men. When Matt Bishop learns that Tighe's funeral is in a nearby town, he decides to attend - and there finds Harold Shelby, also paying his respects to their old nemesis. Together they decide to resurrect the old gang. Emmett Crandon is in the oil business in Oklahoma when Shelby and Bishop track him down. They find Guffy LeRoy in South Dakota, and in a bit of a scrape: he's been kidnapped by bandits who believe he's struck it rich mining (he hasn't). And Shelby, Bishop and Crandon are going to have to rescue him before they can go ahead with their other plan... For, though times have changed, some things aren't all that different after twenty-five years: the Canta Lupe Bank and Trust is still there, and the old timers still have larceny in their hearts. No reason why lightning shouldn't strike twice... --from book's dustjacket
