Excellent writing and thought provoking...read it...

I picked this up at a library sale based only on the description on the back. The writing is top notch, though it does take a while to get to the 'can't put this down' stage. After you've made it through the first quarter of the book, it's quite addictive. It's also extremely thought provoking, especially so if you have interests in the history and directions of the United States.

Excellent and exciting read!

I am a big fan of Glenn Meade, and RESURRECTION DAY certainly does not dissapoint. I preferred Snow Wolf and The Sands of Saqqara, however, I also thoroughly enjoyed RESURRECTION DAY, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. It is certainly considerably better than most topics that have attempted to deal with a similar theme over the past three years. Amazingly, this prophetic novel was completed just weeks before September 11, 2001. And the story has disturbing parallels with what happened on that fateful day. This book is fast-paced and there is considerable political intrigue, giving us a glimpse into the kind of manipulation and insincerity that almost certainly plagues the corridors of power in Washington DC. And a fascinating (if fictional) account of a humbled head of state trying to deal with a terrorist. The President of the USA is well portrayed, and certainly appears more competent than the current incumbent! While it is a complex and long story, with a predictable conclusion, I believe it is well worth the read.

The Realism Is Frightening!

This book was originally banned in the United States. I am glad that it is now available in the United States. This book turned out to be a very good read.AN Osama bin-Laden type figure along with the Al-Queida terror brigade sneak a chemical weapon into Washington D.C. This weapon will be set off unless the demands of Al_Queida are met. The chore of finding the weapon and the perpetrators fall upon a Russian policeman and a FBIagent. The perpetrators are a Palestenian woman and a Chechnayan terrorist. There is an attack on the FBI headquarters. This book moves at a fast pace leaving you to wonder if the good guys will save Washington D.C. This is an excellent book that you should buy and read. It will leave you on the edge of your seat.
