Restoring...and life management

Great book to help restore order to our minds and not only to our homes. I was very happy with the things the book helped me organize.

inspired to organize

I read Vicki's book and thought her approach was great--she really encourages her clients and readers to look deeper and understand why they've let themselves become disorganized. She sees disorganization as something that needs pulled out at the root so people can take their lives back. In the book, she gives an overview of organizing and then goes through each room of the house with practical advice for every space. She also doesn't say "you have to buy this (fill in the blank)" but gives solutions to use what you have. I'm a pretty organized person, but even I closed the book after reading the chapter on Closets and started in on mine! I went through and made piles to throw away and give away and reorganized everything else. Before I'd thought about buying a new bookcase to handle a large stack of books I didn't have room for, but after going through my closet, I had an extra shelf! I got rid of stuff and didn't have to spend any extra money either! Then I sat back down and finished the book! Definitely recommend it and loved the case studies she included. I wished I could have seen more of those!
