Best Book - Highly recommended

This book is an absolute must read. It is a book that changed my life and I would suggest that you make your kids read it too. This book has the best insight I've ever read on how relationships are designed to work. This book exposes the lies of our society's view on relationships and backs it up with facts. Thank you Karl Duff. Your insight saved me lots of aggravation. I should have read it ten years earlier and I'd have avoided a lot of stupid mistakes from the lies I bought into. THANK YOU for writing this book. The best money you'll ever spend. Buy a few copies a year to give out as gifts.

Wonderfully challenging

I believe Karl does an excellent job showing us a Christ-based standard that is clearly biblical as well as challenging. Thankfully, he also shows how the passionate believer can achieve the task and see how God blesses those who walk in obedience. Well worth the purchase price!

Excellent, mostly.

The book provides an excellent paradigm for men (and women) to understand a traditional Christian aspect to their relationship as husband and father. It attends to themes of accountability, redemption, and protection in men's family relationships. I have used the book in mentoring and counseling and have received uniformly positive feedback. Because of its traditonal view of gender roles it has some bias against working women but this is not a particular or singular theme in the book. The book is written to and for men but it is informative for women, as well. It should be read long before one gets married but its insights are valuable at any stage of life and I have read and re-read the book many times, never finding it boring.

Amazing book!

This book is such a good read for guys and women alike. Guys, if you desire at all to be the man God designed you to be...a man of integrity, emotional stable for your wife, loving her and your kids, then read this book. Ladies, read this book to see what your husband should be...loving you the way Christ loves the church. Part 1 is on healing...what we as men were designed to do and be for our wives and for our children. Part 2 deals with protection....accountability and discipline. Just a great read.
