Spicy Read You Should Own

Originally posted at: [...] His humanity vanished years ago -- millennia ago. She's just trying to make him laugh. What happens when this fallen angel falls under the spell of the special woman whose smile melts his hard heart? Sparks fly and it's a wild ride. There are only a few books I shout to all my friends to buy. This is one of those books. I wasn't sure what I was going to get into when I opened Renegade Angel, but I'm glad I did. The characters literally jump off the page. I found myself rooting for them from the moment I met them. And don't think this is a simple romance. Yes, it's got its sweet moments and its spicy moments, but there are plenty of twists and turns to keep it fast-paced. Raum might turn some readers off. He's taciturn by nature. He's a fallen angel and he's got a boatload of anger. But it made me love him. I loved his one-liners and his ability to cut someone down to size right when he wanted to build them up. And when he struggled with his feelings, I couldn't help but want to see him get a HEA. I know, fallen angels don't always have happy ever afters, and they do not show emotions other than growly anger. That's what makes this book great. It's not the norm. And the heroine in this book? She rocks. Why? Ember is one tough cookie. She's been through a lot of junk in her life. She adheres to the line of thinking that big girls don't cry. Funny...when posed with a situation where emotions are needed, she very much shows her fears, struggles, and her need for Raum. But things aren't all sunshine and roses for her when she meets up with Raum. There's a secret (that I didn't see coming) that could tear them apart. I loved the tension and how she deals with it. She's such a strong woman and it was great to see her get what she wanted. If you want a spicy story with lots of twists and turns and a hot hero, then you need to read Renegade Angel. I give this book 5 books.

Fallen Angel vs. Half Demon = Hawt!!!

Kendra Leigh Castle has done it again! This story is nothing short of heart stomping and an absolutely delicious paranormal romance that will knock your socks off. Action packed and sizzling hot don't even come close to how scorching this one is. Ember is such a beauty but is in hiding and she doesn't really even know why other than she seems to pose a danger to anyone whom she might get close to. She knows there is something wrong with her but it quickly becomes weird out time when she finds out she is half demon. Ember has a hard time accepting what she is until weird out hits grand central proportions. Raum is a Fallen Angel that has even been cast out of Hell. Good gosh, no Heaven no Hell, where can a guy go for a little piece and quiet. No where and that's why he's playing both sides of the coin. He's about as rude as them come, bossy enough to make him Bully Of The Year but dead on gorgeous with his black hair and green eyes to make you really, really want to commit a sin. At least I would anyway. Oh dear God, just 5 minutes with him please! The story has Raum aka Fallen Angel playing the part of Guardian Angel to Ember aka half demon. You have Raum being arrogant and Ember with a temper that gives the phrase, "Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn" a whole new meaning. The best part is that the two of them connect on a baser level at first sight and oh my the sparks that fly from just a quick glance send shivers down your spine as you know that the sex is going to be nothing short of hot. Raum and Ember having sex is nothing short of liquid Hellfire that literally rocks the foundation of the house. Yowzer! If you're looking for a really hot and really good Paranormal Romance then this one is most certainly a must have. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm finding that there is quite a bit more Urban Fantasy Romance out there now and to be honest I would rather just have a good ole fashion Paranormal Romance any day of the week. This satisfied a craving that I have been having for quite some time and oh boy did I need it. Thanks Kendra!

entreating romantic rural fantasy

Even Hell does not want Raum the Destroyer of Dignities and Robber of Kings residing there. Thousands of years have passed since the fallen angel was kicked out of heaven and now he has the dubious distinction of being kicked out of Hell, which leaves him heading to Earth. Raum and a team of former demons actually have a mission to destroy demons on earth and their half-breed offspring. He is in rural Vermont when he modifies his objective to keep safe half-breed fallen angel-human Ember Riddick and to prevent her from opening a portal to hell that will allow the denizen to escape to earth. The daughter of Mammon the fallen angel, Ember turns to her angelic protector Raum for safety, but he soon realizes she is capable of keeping him from harm. Still, her father seeks her out to force her to open the gate while Uriel the angel tries to close due to a potential lethal weakness in it and Lucifer fears she may be the source of redemption for the fallen. This is an entreating romantic rural fantasy in which Kendra Leigh Castle which makes heaven, hell and earth feel genuine even angels, demons and an assortment of supernatural species seem real. The antihero with his darkened wings is terrific as a rare essence bounced from heaven and hell. Ember is surprisingly more mysterious than her savior as readers wonder what she hides from Raum. Fans will enjoy this Green Mountain fantasy as eternity is a long way from heaven, hell, and earth yet Raum learns where eternal bliss can be found; if he survives the finding. Harriet Klausner
