No matter how much we may want to throw Fr. Marcial Maciel under the bus for his scandalous life, it cannot be denied he was the founder of the Legion of Christ and of the Regnum Christi Catholic Lay Movement.And no matter how much we may want to close our eyes to his existence regarding the Charism of this movement his watermark -or stain? - will appear. Nor can it be honestly stated that Fr. Maciel's influence on his creations was totally negative. Thus, after carefully examining The Quest and being hit by her own reactions the reviewer contends: that Fr. Maciel cannot be excluded from the formulation of the charism of the Regnum Christi. This will be illustrated by several considerations that arise along the way.
